My Training Principles
The Pyramid Can Only be as tall as its wide
It’s hard to build anything substantial if the foundation isn’t strong. Having the prerequisite stability in your joints and ligaments is important to progress forward. This is where we start.
Stimulate Not Annihilate
The goal of training is to create adaptations in your body and elicit change. We can do a thousand squats and be sore the next day, but what’s the point? Your program should progressively increase your capacity but not temporarily disable you.
Yes Pain? No Gains
You should never train through pain. We either need to address the pain or modify the exercise. You shouldn’t be in pain at any given point of the training. Discomfort is another story.
Follow the Big Three
The training program is optimized when sleep and diet are also well managed. The results will come 10x faster if sleep, diet and training all get some well-deserved TLC.
